Sindh Govt announces 40000 PST and JEST Teaching jobs 2021 After an interval of eight to nine years, Sindh’s Education and Literacy Department (ELD) has to conclude to start the recruitment process to hire 40,000 teachers.

According to facts, 30,000 primary school teachers (PST) will be welcomed in the first phase while 10,000 junior elementary school teachers (JEST) will be hired in the second phase of the hiring process.

All the candidates will be required to clear a written test with at least 55% marks in order to succeed in the interview.

Although the date of the written test will be confirmed later, the test will focus on the following three main areas of education.

  • Science, mathematics, and computer education
  • English
  • Mother tongues and social studies including Islamiat

The written test will be conducted from the Sindh Textbook Board (STBB) books of classes 1 to 8 for PST and classes 6 to 10 for JEST and there is a link where you can download the syllabus according to your needs http://ebooks.stbb.edu.pk/.

The reserved quota for women, minorities, and disabled people will also be preserved as per ELD rules and policies.

ELD has advised candidates to remain ready for the written test, adding that the recruitment will be done on the basis of merit only.

Syllabus for PST and JEST

Conferring to the notice, the written test will be from the following books of Sindh Text Book Board Jamshoro:

  • Class 01-08 for PST (BPS-09) posts
  • Class 06-10 for Junior Elementary School Teacher (JEST BPS-14)

Selection Criteria for PST and JEST

  • Candidates have to pass each part of the test by 45% marks. However, the overall passing marks of the test will be 55%.
  • The government will recruit the candidates on a merit basis.
